Shannon Sonneveldt~Puppy Poetry

puppy poetry

Read the last poetry book by Shannon Sonneveldt, Puppy Poetry: The Exhausting, Funny and Sweet Moments that come With Being Owned By Puppies, and enjoyed it very much! It was so cute, and made me remember so many things about my puppies! Especially the poem Tornado. I know my family has felt that way with our boxer, Precious. After her first night I woke up in the morning, went in the kitchen, and there was trash and torn up paper towels ALL OVER THE FLOOR. But of course, she thought it was funny. And Explorers was so cute. I could just picture the puppy going all through the house. I remember my own pups doing that. So adorable!
My Heart Melts was perfectly expressive of our love to our puppies. Certainly one worth inclusion and definitive of the book.
I would certainly suggest this to anyone who is a lover of pups! I'm certain you'll enjoy it!

  1. I can relate to this. We have a 12 week old puppy. He's an adorable cocker spaniel but he gets into all sorts of mischief.

  2. I remember the first night of having Precious--next morning I went into the kitchen (where we were keeping her) and there was torn paper towels and whatnot ALL OVER THE FLOOR. She's a boxer. Still a pup, but very well behaved now. Excellent guard dog too. So proud of her....

What's the name of your cocker spaniel? What color? Spaniels are so cute! My mom loves them. Would get one, if she wasn't so "dogged out" from Precious.

  3. His name is Leeto. It's pronounced "lee-a-toe". It means journey in Tswana (my mom's home language). He's a feisty ginger - his fur is tan with a red tinge and he has a bit of blonde too. I love him to pieces. :)
He's also a bit naughty like any puppy would be but he's generally well-behaved and smart.
